The story
Tom Harvey's story starts in 1999, as an HVAC helper learning the trade from the bottom rung. In 2015 — after years running his own earlier shop — he restarted with a beat-up truck and a bag of tools, and a conviction that Charleston deserved better service. That restart became Holy City Heating & Air.
The growth since has been the loud part of the story: a team of seasoned local professionals, a wrapped fleet you'll recognize on the Crosstown, and recognition in the top quarter of the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing private companies. The quiet part hasn't changed — answer the phone until 9 PM, explain what we find in plain language, and earn the next twenty years of your business rather than one oversized invoice.
Tom was born and raised on James Island and still lives there with his wife Jennifer and their three children — Ethan, Carolina, and Arabella — who are active in the local community and in the daily operations of the business. Family business, in the literal sense.
