What it is
A compact outdoor unit connects to one or more indoor heads through a small refrigerant line — each head its own zone with its own remote. Daikin's ductless range spans wall-mounted, floor-standing, and concealed-duct styles.
Because they're inverter heat pumps, the same equipment heats in January and cools in July, adjusting output continuously.
Who it’s for in the Lowcountry
Downtown single houses and historic properties where duct runs would damage plaster and framing.
FROGs, sunrooms, garage apartments, and home offices that roast or freeze on the main system's schedule.
Key benefits
- No ductwork — minimal alteration to historic fabric
- Room-by-room control and scheduling
- Whisper-quiet indoor operation
- Inverter efficiency with excellent dehumidification
- Single-zone to multi-zone flexibility
- 12-year parts limited warranty on registered systems
Where it sits in the Daikin line
Ductless is the point solution of the Daikin line: one to a few rooms, minimal construction. When the zone list grows long or you want ducted and ductless mixed on one outdoor unit, step up to VRV; when whole-home ducted comfort is the goal, look at Fit or the heat pump line.
Warranty & the Comfort Promise
Registered Daikin residential systems carry a 12-year parts limited warranty — among the strongest standard coverage in the industry. Registration matters: we help you complete it so the full term is in force.
On top of the factory coverage, our installations are backed by the Daikin Comfort Promise: if we haven't met your expectations within one year of your installation, we return and make it right at no cost to you.
